    Paper Plate Bat

Halloween is around the corner and we have been busy crafting during our Fall break. My son requested something with bats, so we made a paper plate bat that flies through the night. Paper plates are a great craft medium. They are versatile and cheap, paint and glue will stick to the surface which makes them easy to work with. I designed two templates, one in black and white to cut out and trace on construction paper, the second one in color to cut and paste to the paper plate. You can also use stickers or paint a scene with markers or craft paint. Materials paper plates – the plain…

I love crafts that don’t require much preparation or a trip to the store for ingredients I will most likely never use again. These spooky ghosts are just ideal because everyone has potatoes, right? And if not, apples work well, too. Potatoes are easy to grip for little hands and make them a good material to work with. Materials black…

October is just around the corner and my kids are getting excited about Halloween. Our neighbor has already decorated her front yard and down the street is a house all decked out with scare crows and lights. This year is going to be a little bit different with lots of Fall events being canceled. Another damper for the kids brought on by COVID. We are not going to let this stop us from having a good time. There will be spooky movies, decor, costumes, candy and I designed a Halloween scavenger hunt for us to do. This post contains affiliate links, which means I will receive a small commission for…
